Many diseases exist out in the forest some native and some invasive. While native diseases do damage trees their impact is usually limited only to stressed trees. These native disease serve an essential function in our forests, the best decision most of the time is to not treat them.
Invasive diseases have an extremely high mortality rate and are not part of our natural system. Often times it isn't feasible to treat these diseases on a forest wide scale. It is still always important for landowners to stay vigilant.
