Otsego Conservation District Mission

The mission of the Otsego Conservation District is to assist the people of Otsego County in the wise use and management of their natural resources, for a healthy environment and sustained economic growth.

Seeking Full-Time Forester

The Otsego Conservation District (OCD) seeks an Forester
The basic requirements for this position are:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in forestry from an SAF-accredited university.  Bachelor’s or master’s degrees in forestry from a university program that is not accredited by the Society of American Foresters will also be accepted, although not preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and public communication skills (working with landowners, public speaking, writing)
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of software and GIS programs
  • Use of a personal vehicle is required (mileage reimbursement provided)
  • Able to pass a federal background check 
The forester position is full time.
